Following the closure of The Olive Tree doors in March in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and an electrical fire that destroyed the restaurant kitchen, we are delighted to announce that we are set to reopen from 1st October!
The Fire!
As mentioned above, we suffered an electrical fire in the kitchen on the day we closed. The blaze caused significant damage to the kitchen, but we are pleased that the restoration works commenced on site on 3rd August. The team have started the incredible job of returning our Michelin-starred Restaurant to its former glory, ready for us to welcome back our wonderful guests once again.
Delicious New Dishes
A new kitchen and time off in lockdown has given us the unheralded opportunity to look at new menus, and we do hope you’re hungry, as Head Chef Chris Cleghorn has been rather busy transforming his former FIVE and SEVEN menus into a wonderful and enticing NINE course tasting menu. We are also glad to be offering a SIX course menu out of this, in addition to vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free variations.
Dishes to look forward to include stunning Woolley Park Farm Duck with kumquat, indulgent Tulakalum dark chocolate with yoghurt sorbet and olive oil, and wonderfully clean and fresh flavours of Raw Orkney Scallop with grapefruit and dill; each menu features the very best, locally-sourced seasonal produce, inventively combined, and impeccably presented.
