The Olive Tree Restaurant has the following vacancies:

Junior Sous Chef

Junior Sous Chef- The Olive Tree Restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel is looking for an ambitious chef to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Join the award-winning team:

  • Only Michelin Star Restaurant in Bath
  • 3 AA Rosettes

Details of Olive Tree Restaurant:

  • Dinner 6:30-9pm (Tuesday to Sunday)
  • Lunch 12:30-2pm (Friday to Sunday)
  • Closed Mondays (only breakfast and room service)
  • Closed 4 weeks of the year (1 week January, 1 week April, 1 week August, 1 week November). Breakfast and Room Service still covered 7 days a week whilst closed.
  • 1 breakfast shift a week (6:45-2pm)
  • 2 days off
  • Offer a 6 or 9 course tasting, a la carte, lunch menu on weekends only
  • No afternoon tea served

Accommodation could be provided for a temporary period, subject to availability.

We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 p/a inclusive of gratuities, depending on experience.

Pastry Chef de Partie

The Olive Tree Restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel is looking for an ambitious chef to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Annual salary of £22,400 p/a inclusive of gratuities. 20 days holiday p/a plus 8 bank holiday days.

Join the award winning team:

  • Only Michelin star restaurant in Bath
  • 3AA rosettes
  • Work with Chris Cleghorn, trained with Heston Blumenthal (Fat Duck at Bray), Michael Caines (Gidleigh Park) and Adam Simmonds (Danesfield House) James Sommerin( crown at whitebrook)

Senior Waiter

The Olive Tree Restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and knowledgeable Senior Waiter to join our dedicated Restaurant team and help push the business forwards.

Annual salary of £22,279, 20 days holiday p/a plus 8 bank holiday days.

  • 4 AA Star Hotel 
  • Only Michelin Star Restaurant in Bath since 2018
  • 3 AA Rosettes
  • Work with the Acorn award-winning Restaurant Manager, Owen Farr, and Michelin-starred Exec Chef Chris Cleghorn.

Details of The Olive Tree Restaurant:

  • Dinner service 6 days a week
  • Lunch service Friday-Sunday
  • Closed Mondays (still open for breakfast, bar and room service)
  • Two tasting menus, either a 6 or 9 course. A La Carte also available, lunch menu on weekends only
  • Breakfast served 7 days a week for hotel residents (role requires one or two breakfast shifts per week).
  • No afternoon tea served

  • The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to work in the restaurant and bar, confident in both food and wine service, happy to work breakfasts, lunch or dinner.
  • Creative approach to your work with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong food, wine, and drinks knowledge; WSET Level 2 or equivalent required.
  • Confidence in serving guests to help create an unforgettable experience.
  • Experience in overseeing health and safety compliance, and awareness and proficiency in the new COVID-19 standards.
  • Calm and professional work ethic.
  • Exceptional personal presentation.

Head Waiter

This role is a key part of the Management team of the Restaurant and a great opportunity to develop.

Annual salary of £24,720 p/a inclusive of gratuities. 20 days holiday p/a plus 8 bank holiday days.
