FAQ’s

What are the restaurant opening times and days ?

We are open for Dinner Tuesday to Sunday 6;30pm, with last orders at 8;30pm.

We offer Lunch Friday to Sunday from 12;30, with last orders at 1;30pm.

Breakfast is served Monday to Saturday 7;30-10am, Sunday and bank holidays 8- 10; 30am.

Please note we have very limited availability at breakfast for guests not staying at the Queensberry Hotel.

How to make a reservation ?

Online reservations can be made on our website https://olivetreebath.co.uk/book-online/ for tables up to six. Alternatively, if you wish to book a table over the phone, please call our reservations team on 01225 447 928.

Credit card details will be required to confirm your booking, an email confirmation will be sent to you after booking to confirm your reservation, no payment or deposit is taken. This is just to secure the table and for payment in the event of a no show. Credit card details are securely held through Stripe, https://stripe.com/ie, payments systems. We strongly recommend making a reservation, however if we have availability, we are happy to welcome walk-ins.

What is our cancellation policy ?

As we are a small business and prepare food in advance for each booked guest, it is very important that we are made aware of any cancellations or changes to the number of guests.

We do request 48 hours’ notice from 12.00 noon should you wish to cancel or amend your reservation. For bookings cancelled within the time period or for “no shows” we will make a charge of £75 per person. Where we are able to resell your table for the same number of guests, or more, no charge will be made.

Please note that Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day will be subject to a 14 day cancellation policy.

If there are circumstances that are beyond our control that affect our ability to provide the highest quality of food or other adverse conditions, we reserve the right to cancel and reschedule your booking

Do you accept credit cards ?

We accept all major credit cards, including American Express. We also accept cash payments.

Do we have a waiting list ?

Yes, if there is a day you are interested in, but it is fully booked, you can add yourself to our waiting list by calling the reservations on 01225 447 928. If we receive cancellation, and a table becomes available, we will contact you.

What is on the menu ?

The menu is constantly changing according to availability of produce from the seasons and the availability of ingredients from our local suppliers. We search all over to source the finest ingredients and produce, to give our guests a memorable experience.

At The Olive Tree, we offer a NINE or Six Course every lunch and dinner service, 6 days a week. We also offer our FOUR-course menu, between Sundays to Thursday. Our ‘Taste of the seasons’ is available at lunch times only. The taste of the seasons is a set menu, which can adapted where possible for allergens.

Please note that a discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your final bill.

Our dishes are designed to be part of a tasting menu, therefore we do not have an A la carte option.

Do you cater for dietary requirements and allergens ?

We offer a variety of menus, such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, dairy free and gluten free.

We will always do our best to cater for specific requirements with prior notice. However please be aware that all 14 allergens are used in or kitchen.

Can I make a booking for a large group ?

We are a small restaurant, although we can comfortably accommodate larger groups. Please contact us directly for tables of 8 and above.

Alternatively private dining for groups up to 40 diners is also available Sunday to Thursday for dinner and Fridays to Sundays for lunches only, please send your enquiry to our reservations team at reservations@thequeensberry.co.uk

Parking ?

We are unable to offer parking. The nearest long stay car parks are the podium or Charlotte Street, which are about 5-10 minute walk away.

Younger guests ?

We welcome well-behaved younger guests at 6.30 pm and 6.45 pm for dinner and anytime for lunch; We do ask that parents are mindful of other diners around. For children under 12 years old, we offer a children’s menu.

Do you have a dress code ?

We have a relaxed atmosphere and as such, we have no specific dress code. However, we encourage our guests to dress smart-casual.

Do you have access for a wheelchair ?

As we are located in the basement, our restaurant is not fully accessible. We do have a lift, but there are still some steps afterwards. If you have any questions, please call us on 01225 447 928 or emailing us on reservations@thequeensberry.co.uk.

Joining us for a celebration or Special Occasion ?

To make the experience as personal as possible, please inform us upon booking or email us on reservations@thequeensberry.co.uk of the guest’s name and occasion you are celebrating. To help you celebrate we place a card on the table and serve some handmade chocolates at the end of the meal on a celebratory plate. We are also happy to arrange a behind the scenes look into the kitchen, with prior notice. If you would like assistance in organising anything further, please contact us.

Are dogs allowed ?

Unfortunately, fury friends must stay at home, unless they are service animals. If you are planning on bringing a service animal, we ask that you inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

ARRIVALS

What happens if I arrive late ?

As we are a small restaurant, we make our tables available at different times to enable our team to create the finest quality food and have the time that they need to do this, so it is very important to us that you arrive on time.

If you arrive very late to your booking or outside of our service times, we may not be able to accommodate you and reserve the right to charge you the full cost of the menu.
