It’s both humbling and gratifying to be part of charity campaigns such as the Genesis Trust’s ‘Souper November’, and what better opportunity for our very own Chris Cleghorn to share his magnificent food with the people who need it most.
The Genesis Trust is a charity whose mission is to work with people struggling with everyday life – largely as a result of homelessness, addiction, poverty or disability. They provide the practical support they need to get through the day, and the emotional support to look forward to tomorrow. They continue to do this with passion, skill and with an attitude of hospitality to all; values that we share with them here at The Olive Tree!
Excitingly, the ‘Souper November’ campaign will be fronted by 2014 MasterChef winner and Bath Girl Ping Coombes who will be cooking up a storm alongside selected chefs including Chris! Ping has been involved with the charity, proactively providing and serving her personal favourite, ‘ABC Chicken Soup’.
We are thrilled to be part of such a worthy campaign, and we hope that Chris’ new diners enjoy his offerings! Find out more about Chris and try his recipe here. To take part in the campaign or for more information, click here – we hope you’ll soupport this fantastic fundraiser!
